Changelog for Build 3.0.0.9 (September 26, 2011)
Features
- Changed all at once routing so that it will send an email back to the initiator from each of the all at once recipients so that the initiator can view any change requests from each recipient.
- Improved load performance. Does not try to read from Outlook when Excel or Word closes to get logged in user name. Instead, ORP tries to cache the user email address from outlook in a file (And also in a global session variable for each Excel/Word session). Outlook is not read from as frequently in this version as prior releases and this should address the issue that some users were having with Excel or Word being slow upon shutting them down.
- Unique Id set on every routing document that goes out. This ID is now included in the subject of the emails.
- Fixed an issue where outlook was not emailing the message that is being routed right away (the message would stay in the draft folder for either a short period of time or sometimes a very long time, before emailing the message). [this edit was posted 10/26/2011]
- On status messages (track status) that go back to the initiator, ORP now sends the routing slip status on the message footer in an html table. This will help the initiator to track the complete status of each routing process with more control. A sample routing slip status that now goes out on all status messages to the initiator is below:
Fixes
- None.
- 3.0.0.9B Update (December 1, 2011)
- This build addresses a problem some users were having with adding a Microsoft Word/Excel document into another Microsoft Office container as an embedded object--ORP was trying to load and was causing an error in some cases in this situation. Also, this version may resolve issues if your company has other 3rd party programs that automate Microsoft Word/Excel documents and those automated documents were somehow conflicting with Office Routing Plus.
